Sonic my dvd version 4.5

when I try to capture video I get this pop up

No Valid capture devices were detected ,if you have a video device attatched make sure it is an ntsc device or change your prefernce


My preference is already set in ntsc and my video device (sony dcr-trv22) is plugged in with a usb cable

Whats the problem?
