Software for Removing Masking in Videos

Hi All,

Was wondering if there's software(s) to unmask the irritating digital masking used to hide identity of subjects and objects in videos. (The squares that appear eg. over eyes of suspects or criminals and car plates.)

Would appreciate any input.

I Would doubt it with normal means may be possible with high tech equipment (of which I know nothing) but even then probably not,

I dont know of one but I'm sure ther would be a filter available for Adobe Premier for that special effect.

And for our next trick, we'll perfectly restore focus on a blurred picture.

If you could restore (say) 100 or more pixels forom the 10 or so they had been blocked into, you'd have one hell of a compression system!

Ooops, sorry I read you wanted to mask it, not un-mask it.

No way to unmask, the Video data to describe the area where the blur is has been lost for even when it was blurred and unavailable. Its like an out of focus photo, nothing can restore the exact detail of what it would be like if not out of focus.
