shrinking help

hi all,
i have a few mpeg files i want to shrink, they wonk quite fit onto a disk, any sugggestions on what porgrames to use and where to get them from?
pease help me!!!!

what do u want to do? convert them to a more highly compressed video format?

No I Have The Mpeg File But It Wont Fit Onto A Dvd, It Needs Shrinking But To Keep It As A Mpeg File.

u can try using TMPGEnc to reencode the mpeg.

i'm not completely sure how do it or if it will work, i am trying to make a dvd and the file is mpeg, the dvd is 4.7gb and the file is a little over that, is there any programes that will shrink it by a little and have the same quality or near to it?
