Hi !

I am sorry about the past troubles ...
Now I got the fault :) Too many visitors online on the site *lol*
We have to upgrade the server a little bit, not really the CPU or something, it just needs more RAM ! Will be added asap, so it runs stable again !

Oha .. server crashed again !
Ehm, I disabled some features ... the avatars and some others, unnecessary stuff is gone ... till the hosting company adds more RAM !
Hopefully this will be done tomorrow !

Ahh ..
Made a Kernel update on the server and brought MySQL up2date as well ... :)
Hopefully we get more RAM tomorrow ... so we can look forward for a busy weekend :)

I'm curious to know how much ram to this forum will be ok?
and how much money for the hosting company a mounth?

The server has about 2 GB RAM, but it handles some other stuff as well.
For a forum like this you should have something like 1 GB RAM, right now the prices are down for such things, so go for 1 GB or even more ....
Money ? That is a good question, the forum does about 200 GB traffic per month. You can check with your favourite hosting company about the price for that ...

CompletelyFreeSoftware (CFS) were doing less than that, and went payment membership only!

I don't welcome ads, but if the forum policy is now acceptable to would-be advertisers, perhaps there is scope - and possibly for affiliate links that members could be encouraged to use when purchasing.
