Securepoint Personal Firewall now freeware

Quote from the Securepoint forum, dated 07.05.2004:
"Die Personal Firewall ist ab sofort für den nicht kommerziellen Gebrauch kostenlos.", meaning the firewall is freeware for non-commercial use from now on.

I don't know how good\bad it is, but I thought it might be worth mentioning this news anyway.

babelfish made a rotten job of it - I've never seen it screw up quite so badly!
They are supposed to have English pages as well, but... untranslated or missing

One thing I did get out of it, Beginner and Expert mode, it sounds like you can work with application permissions or more detailed rules.

I never tryed it but somebody told me before that is ok,you can control in and out network and probably when i got bored with sygate,i will try it...And their website is like""WOW"" :) :)

Scarecrow... where you at?! :D
Currently I am behind Shorewall (advanced iptables firewall for Linux). I haven't booted any Windows machine but my laptop since one week ago, sorry...
Might give it a go, although I am not terribly interested- I'm networked at home and the gateway is a Linux firewalled machine.
