RIAA Hit List R U ON IT????

If you must download and I'm not saying you should and most of all don't steal it. :D Protect yourself: KaZaA Lite, the K++ edition I'm told it blocks your IP address. :D :D

hmmmmmmmm not a total soultion methinks :(

I read recently that there are trojan infected mp3's and movies out there that PHONE HOME to the authorities etc :(

I cannot confirm that this is infact true!?

or hoaxed but technically ' IT IS POSSIBLE to wrap any file inside virtually any file!....

as thats what had been done in the past with files and the NAPSTER network that once was the biggest share p2p out there :)

I use the most current KaZaA Lite K++ edition, but all I believe it does is block thie RIAA (and others) IP addresses from being able to access your share.

The news here in the US keeps warning people about their kids "downloading music." I don't think anyone has gotten in trouble for downloading yet. It has all been for sharing 1000 files are more.

My question is, how do they know those files are legitimate copyrighted material and not just fake shares?

In K++ just check the box not to share anything. You will still download like a king.

@markbot ..... my guess would be the introduction of digital ID watermarks embedded in the recording on the original disks before they are ripped :(

I'm just saying they need to in the USA or at least they used to have the "burden of proof." So far I haven't seen one single shred of proof that any of these people were sharing a copyrighted song.

I looked at the letters from RIAA to ISPs and they say they have good reason to believe that infringement was occuring because the person was sharing a file called "Madonna-Like A Virgin" and others. Did they actually download that song from the person's PC and test it and prove that it was a protected song?

Maybe I'll rename a bunch of JPEGs and share them and have my day in court. Then again, maybe I don't want to draw too much attention.

Just my 2 cents.
