Restoring RTCW

Anyone know if Return to Castle Wolfenstein can be restored from backup by restoring the program directory tree, or does it need to be reinstalled from the CD? I had to reinstall my OS (WinXP Pro), and I'd rather take the easy way out if possible.

As I remember Quake 3 engine games will start just fine if you just restore the directory tree. That is to say Jedi - Academy and Soldier of Fortune 2 did for me. Didn't need a reinstall.

I say give it a shot and if no good... backup your save games, reinstall, and restore the saves. ;)
