Removing codecs

I am having problems which I think may be associated with codecs installed on my computer.

Is there a way to remove ALL codecs so that I can start again and eliminate the one that is causing problems (jerky movement / sound)?

if the codec/codec pack does not came along with an installer (Control Panel > Add/Remove) then go into the Device Manager, open Multimedia Devices, there are all audio and video codecs listed and can be removed;
don't remove all the codecs, Windows installs a few itself;

sorry my english isn't the best, you misunderstood me; i tried to say:
1. look into Add/Remove, if the codecs are listed there, then unsinstall they there;
2. if the codecs are not listed there, then you can uninstall them via Control Panel > System > Device Manager > Multimedia Devices;
