remote linking

I have noticed that with many of the free web hosting services, remote linking for images and files is prohibited. (Geocities, Tripod, Freeservers, etc). Is there any way of getting around this, or any free web hosting services that allow it?

My freeserve alows me to remote link , maby because that is my isp but my signatuer is from a freeserve freeby. is it just for one or two pics? and i can host them for your as i am doing that for a few people on the board for there signatuers. but it is for your site? as i seen the thing about forbidin

tripod allows remote linking, just not tripod.com, but national tripods like tripod.de or *.fr do

Yeah it is for me site, and i got like about 20 pics i need to remote link. Freeserve allowed me to remote link for about 2 days i think, then it stoped. I think i might have to save sum money and pay

Actually with geocities you can direct link image files like jpg 's if you rename the file as a .txt file ... picture still ought to come up as an image...

send the pics to me if you want and i will host them i have about 5 30Mb sites that i only use a wee bit of each and my remote linking works ok as i host a few signatuers for this forum

portland sucks. I really hate them. I had a big quarrel with them. they always send you those stupid emails telling you that you are above 100 mbs bandwidth limit. I emailed them, and said, how the hell can that be, when I just host 20 kbs on their server. they are goddamn liars. that's what I said. and they started to threaten me and said the last one who said they were liars ended up in the court. as if I would give them my real address. fuck them, that's what I said, took all the money I got and bought space on a server without bandwidth limit. costs much money, but in return I get the satisfaction being independent of those suckers
