Remixing?!?

Let's say I wanted to take the vocals from one song and put it to the music/beats of another (like capture Mariah Carey singing over one of Alicia Keys songs w/o Alicia Keys singing), is there some software that would allow me to do this?

To do it perfectly it's kind of impossible unless you have access to the original tracks.
If there is any software that allows this kind of thing, I think it will depend much on the original mixing and you will have to do a lot of manipulation and equalization probably, to have an "acceptable" result.

yes, Fox is right; you can't separate vocals and music, without large loss of quality;
if you want to to it nevertheless, you need a good wave editor with the right collection of filter plugins;

if you want to get into remixing, you'll need to master the art of making a seamless loop, too.
