Recordnow Max Error

I am starting to get this error quite a lot in RNM when burning on-the-fly...
error -10 at sector 800 - disk read error - command:2a sense:03 asc:73 ascq:03

Everything was fine now i get this all the time ?!?!
Using latest PX, DMA is on.

Anyone had this ?

sense errors usually tell you its poor or bad quality media

This is not the case as I have never used anything other than Datasafe Ritek G04 disks

Datawrite/Datasafe/Bulkpaq/White Label/One etc, etc are all issued in the UK by e-net who are notorius for putting Grade B and lower discs onto the market when it suits them. There are a lot of shall we say "iffy" bad batch G04 discs around right now in the UK and many people on other forums getting calibration & sense errors on these discs. So one tub of 25 may be OK while another not so good. Agree with Viper that it is 95% certainly the media for sure.

One reason why I have changed to Prodisc & Fuji media myself.

If changing media doesn't work,clean your laser.....I had almost the same probs with my DRU500A ....dvd+r/+rw caused a disc read error,while dvd-r/rw and cd-r still worked.....cleaned the lens and everything was O.K....

Just used nero to burn on-the-fly and it worked 1st time, but i dont really want to use nero for this all the time !!

Laz, dont you know datawrite use the fuji dye ? (Datawrite Grey 8x) + I have read great reviews on them !!

me thinks this points to the source media, not to the one you try to burn;
maybe Nero ignores the read error while RNM aborts;
