RecordNow MAX error

I just bought a new Sony DRU-500a combo DVD writer and I have a problem. Whenever I attempt to rip a PS2 DVD gi an error appears at the end of extraction. It happens everytime. Anyone know what the problem may be?

What error does it give you?

Also, have you installed the latest PXEngine Update?

I get a px error but I don't remember the exact one. I will look into the firware update but I did not consider it since the unit is brand new and hasn't been out very long. thanks.

You are not looking for a "firmware" update. You need to try the PXEngine update.
The PXEngine update is updated drivers for the burning software (ie.. Primo or RecordNow Max etc..) Its not for the drive itself..
Also, you said the error happens everytime.. Is it just on that one game or does it happen on every game you try to rip to the hard drive?

Thanks for clarifying. I'll look into it but it does not happen with every game dvd. When I 1st made the post that was the case but I finally ripped one game to HD without any error. I'll get the updates and try again *fingers crossed*
