Recording live stream audio from realplayer - How?

Loopback recording is the poor man's answer, or a Digital intercept using "Virtual Audio Cable" - or TR.

Net Transport can download some streams, and tools like TINRA (This is not real anymore) may be able to do something about the unfriendly format.

I read that nettransport can do that......But good solution..even better-me thinking is total recorder.......Its a nice virtual driver which can record line in from a sound card too......Main purpose of course is to record any sound which goes thru sound card..Its a totally legal software..Check it out at http://www.highcriteria.com/ Also..It will automatically record in a format of your choice..like wavmp3,ogg

The OTHER wavedata grabber - but unless the quality (on internet stream??) justifies it - I'd simply set the sound mixer to loopback record from WAVE/MP3 or mixed output - nothing else to buy, as the best either of them offer as a trial is a VERY limited duration.
Sure, loopback recording is Digital-Analog-Digital, but since its already passed through a lossy codec, it can't do much more harm!
