read DVD with CD-R

Unfortuantelly, my work pc does not have a DVD drive, and so I'm so I'm wondering if it is possible to read a DVD disk with a CD-R drive?

No. sorry, impossible.
The laser in a dvd is different from the one in a cd player/writer.

only way is ripp DVD as svcd .. then prob solved ..
