Quick question about tmpeg

Installed it on another system and when I go to cut a created vcd or svcd after clicking on merge&cut and add in the file, then on edit. Once in edit the picture isn't there and won't show up so I can't cut it.

Any ideas what I'm missing? divx is installed.

I believe the problem lies with the Windows setup, not really with TMPGEnc. I have seen this problem before and only way I found to fix it was a new install of Windows !

Check in TMPGEnc / Options / Enviromental Settings / VFAPI settings that all are ticked. Also Right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and set to a Higher Priority. Then try to cut again.

Don't use the edit button. When you add a film to the merge/edit function the name of the film will appear in the window. Double click on the name and a new window will pop up with the movie in it. You can use the slide bar to access the part of the movie that you want to cut. As you drag the bar you will see the running time of the movie in the lower left hand corner of the window. This may help you in editing the film.

In tmpeg when you go to merge and cut and click the add button and add the file and want to edit it like chichen man says once the file is listed then just double click it and it will automatically open and allow you to cut it. but if you want to use the edit button you need to click the file first to high lite it and then click the edit button so it is much quicker and easier to just double click it. also make shure you select the wright format like standard vcd mpeg 1 because it always defaults back to auto and that was a mistake i made after doing my first movie. hope this helps
