hi people!
i have been buring AVI to dvds quite successfully, but i would like to improve 2 things! the first is the quality of final outcome, when its avi it plays fine on pc (from hard drive) at dvd quality. but not on a dvd player (burned on dvd)+ (audio probs). so i burn it now as mpeg using TMPGEnc to convert from avi to mpeg (using virtual dub as well ;) ) but the problem is, its not as good as dvd, its not bad but if theres a way i can get it to dvd i would be very very greatfull.
the SECOND is they dont work on ps2? any ideas

THANKS a million u brainy bunch :D

Why would you expect a 5-6 gb DVD encoded/compressed to a 700meg DivX AVI then converted back to a 4.3gb DVD be the same quality of the original? Its mathmatically impossible, it may be good but it will NEVER be the same as the original DVD.

For the best AVI to DVDR quaility, then CCE needs to be used. TMPGEnc can work but for quality CCE is even better and substantially quicker as well. The Poacher posted the link.
