you have a ps2 game that's 6gigs????? What game is this? yes there are many patches available. Before i give you patches tell me what game this is.

Sounds like you have a DVD9 game (such as Metal Gear Solid Substance) and you want to back it up. The only way this can be done it to "rip" out parts of the game, similar to ripping down a DVD5 based game to CD-R

The only game that I know of at the momement that this can be done to is Metal Gear Solid Substance. My buddy alucard has tons of rip kits (in general) and more specifically a rip kit/tutorial for Metal Gear Solid Substance over at his site Ps2ModZ Paradise

For other DVD9 based games :( , although the guys over there are most probably working on this as we speak :)

already tried this site yesterday, but read this "We DO NOT make PAL patches for NTSC games. We're NTSC based and PAL is our enemy! <g>
" didn't think i would have much luck. i realy have searched for the way to convert ntsc to pal before i asked the question, i like to do it off my own back before i bother people with it. looking at the # of views this link has had, it would appear i am not the only person who is interested in converting ntsc to pal. maybe a good tuturial would stop people asking the same question?

I've got an old tutorial somewhere, although it was for PSX games and self-patch creation, based on bin (CD-R sized) format backup games.

I will have a look in a bit to see if the tools have evolved and support the other file types, i.e. support DVD format backups. If they have I will put together a small tutorial and post it here :)

cheers Paul. the reads on this post are going up all the time, looks like it might interest a few people. only want to patch because the colours on ntsc games aren't right on my TV, reds are realy bright. tried alsorts to sort it out, so thought it would be easier to patch. got the ps2 linked through the video to go all round the house, and ntsc games are b/w on the other tv's.

it works. Patched the DVD .iso's to "Simpsons Hit And Run" and "Slashdown Rides Gone Wild" works fine. Then i thought i would give CDR bin/cue files a go, so tried "GTA Vice City" (dvd-rip) and patched the .bin file, works perfect. Thanx for all your help. Steve
