Programs That May Get Screwed Up After Installing SP2

OH NOTHING MAJOR THEN lol

just MOST ANTIVIRUS programs and GAMES and wel APPS and anything else thats used almost daily by everyone here then !?  :(

Nero, Zone alarm, MSN, Office 2003 (English & Greek) worked fine on my pc with sp2
but other programs and drivers which are not on this list didn´t work.
The good is that you can unistall the sp2
(i did it) from "add and remove programs" then run "RegCleaner" and you will be back with your old working setting and sp1

Thanks for the link. Its tough to explain to everyone why they shouldn't rush into SP2 (my mother in particular). Just because anyone can buy one doesn't mean that just anyone can maintain one.

@doonster, the best way to upgrade to SP2 is to intergrate it with a XP or XP+sp1,sp1a disk, most probs or conflicts seem to come from folk installing it over a working XP sp1 :)

Since U are on dialup, have a look on the microsoft website as they are doin a free offer to send people the SP2 on cd for free, there was also a post about it here that included a link

If U intergrate/slipstream it to Ur XP cd, then when U install XP, U are also installing SP2, so there less chance of conflicts :)

As for Ur games not working, maybe they didnt update Ur DirectX version, latest is 9c & is built into SP2 :)

I see if i can find U that M$ link

BaNzI :D

Edit heres the link, cheers to gettygas for posting it :)

Free SP2
