Hi, I'm having some problems writing data DVDs on my LG 4040B DVD-RW drive. I can backup PS2 games and DVD movies using DV Decrypter with absolutely no problem at all, and I've used Nero to do CD-R backups and data CDs on the same drive without any problem either.
My problem occurs when I want to back up some work onto a DVD-R. The included software is B's Recorder Gold 5, which appears to work, and even verifies the disc after it's written, but the DVD is unreadable afterwards - Windows hangs whenever the disc in in the drive. So I tried Nero 6.0, and this starts to try to burn the DVD, but displays "burning [file1]" and then hangs - the write light never comes on. Finally, I tried Stomp Record Now Max 4.5, but this says that there "are no recognised burning devices attached".
Any ideas???
