problem with tmpgenc 3 xpress

First time using this software and i keep getting an error when i hit the encode button.
The error reads
"There is no quoted number of character -string '%2f'. "
What the hell does this mean and how do i sort it please?
The file i am trying to convert is a xvid encoded file.

What actual version of Xvid codec do you have installed? What is the Audio stream type?

I don't know, I installed the theorica divx codecs lite pack.
I have since come across the exact same problem from other users on different forums and no-one seems to know how to solve it so far.
Never mind i'll just have to keep messing around with it.

If you have VirtualDub, go into the codec selection, select XviD and press the about box. It will list the version/compile date.
