PROBLEM with nero 5.5

are you sure your not using a serial for another drive? I had the same problem with my new (not noaday...) Liteon 32x...
i had a HP before and used nero for that drive, i used a keygen to get a serial, and in the keygen did I select that the key should be a boundled key for HP drives...
it´s the same if you had got nero with another drive, like pextor or so, som try to reinstall it

If your CDR and Nero were supplied as a bundled "OEM" the serial will only work with that type of burner.
You shoudl be able to change the serial option from the Help menu within Nero. Use the attached key maker to generate a new key and select "Normal" method.
That should fix it but let us know if it doesn't
If you want to change you burner S/W - NTI and Disc Juggler are considered to both be great products. You can links for them on the main page

I hope you'll excuse me, but I often use Easy cd creator...
When I have simple things to do, it's good. I never lost a cd with it... hum sorry, I will burn my cd of EZCD if you want, but I need something as easy to use as this soft...
I'm intersted by CD maker pro, Idoes someone have it?

Nero, you can burn .ISO, BIN/CUE, Audio, Video, (DVD too?) so in general Nero is the best choice for the price and features. But Nero is little weak on DATA (it can burn DATA fine but little problem with FILENAME has SPACE) so you may want to have another complete CDR program (like NTI or WinOnCD v3.8 *not* WinOnCD v5.x) and get rid of the EZCD v5.x (to save disk space and trouble) as it doesn't offer you anything special.
Adaptec EZCD is good for DATA and that's about it, and there are many other CDR prgrams can do DATA just as good. The newer Adaptec v4.x and especially Roxio v5.x if you get it installed (you pass one of the most important and dangerous step) then you get kinda a working time-bomb on your system (may cause problem to other CDR programs sometime to the CD), but if you have to reinstall or upgrading to newer build then it may depend on your luck.ficelle said:
