Problem burning CD's with WinXP Pro

I have just installed winxp pro, I have a x32 speed Lite-on burner.
When i try to burn a cd it starts - gets to 2% done and then nothing.

I have installed the correct aspi with forceaspi17.

Ive tried 3 different burning Progs CDRWin 3.9/nero 5590 and the latest disk Juggler get the same happen on all 3.

Anyone any ideas?

Have you disabled the inbuilt burning prog within XP?

It's made by Roxio (Aaaaarrrrggghhhh!!!) and can cause problems. Also have you loaded the latest Windows updates? IIRC there was one related to burning problems. Also have you checked for sure that your ASPI layer is installed properly with "Aspicheck" ?

Yup that was 1st thing i did.

Just unplugged ide cable and plugged it back in and it seems to be workin fine now.
