I would delete it & junk it. This one doesn't work. If you want one that does work, grab the one from here:

ModVer: 5.1.2600.0 Offset: 000017e2
Anybody knows what this error does mean?

The problem seems to be with the powerdvd executable, looks like it just dies in NTDLL.DLL - it could be bad addressing - i cant certain just from reading that error message.

Does the computer freeze or crash when you get the message? Is it a dialogue box or a blue screen when you see the message ?
How much memory are you using with XP ?

Are you running any other TSR programs while trying to use powerdvd? If so i suggest unloading each of those TSRs one by one and try running powerdvd - it could be some software conflict.

by TSR's i mean memory resident programs, some just run in back ground - others would appear on the right end of the taskbar.

It might be worthwhile checking the cyberlink site to see if there are any updates for the version you are running.

I havnt encountered or heard of such an error with powerdvd before.

Still the same error :((

The computer does not crash or freeze when the error occurs only the power dvd 4 panel becomes white for a second and closes. I am using 128 Mb ram 133Khz i know i am on the limit.
I disable all (if not all at least as much as i found) and run only the power dvd and still the same fucking error occurs.
I chek out gocyberlink.com and find out a XP patch for versions downloaded before 9-3-2002 and i tried to run the power dvd with the XP patch and still the same error. Also this error occurs with previews versions of power dvd i don't know what to do

I'm not sure these would be of much help - but just double check

- - -
- Close Windows MediaPlayer, Netmeeting, or other DVD players if running
- Installed the latest DirectX
- Lower your screen resolution, color depth, and refresh rate
- You are using the same login to run dvd player that you used to install it. (which has admin rights)
- Close any debug software like softice
- You got latest DVD firmware, VGA drivers
- - -

try using msconfig to control what programs are load during startup

uninstall current version - make sure all cyberlink dvd dlls are removed and you clear registry of any cyberlink or powerdvd remnants - reinstall the latest version possible

maybe you ought to run some rigourous tests on your memory modules too - I am wondering if its bad memory addressing.

sorry - I really dont know of anything else i could suggest. Apart from contacting cyberlink regarding the matter. :(
