Is it just me because my sony dav300 will not play a copy dvd -r that I have ripped because of the way I have copied the game or is there only certain dvd players that will play dvd - r's.

hmm...maybe there is something wrong with your copied project ...cause Sony 300 series is able to read DVDR ( I have one

u should follow the DVD5toDVDR guide and check your steps ...
