My computer (a sony vaio PCV-RX682 running windows XP), won't recognize my dvd-r/rw drive as what it is, only has a cd-r drive. Anyone have any advice?

i'll have to assume that u haven't actually tried using the drive yet. this is common windows behavior.PC-GUY said:What matters is how your burning programs see it. So am i.Buffyactsing said:Thanks, yes, I have tried to burn and it tells me that there is only some odd megabytes avalible. Like a cd's worth once I try to burn. When I add them in however, it counts down from 4.7 gigs so I'm confused.
