Pioneer DVDr 106D wont recongize in nero

Hi,
I have installed a new pioneer dvdr 106d into a new pc, Intel 865MB, p4 2.8, 512mb. The dvd drive shows up in windows as a dvdr drive but in Nero it is not there at all. This is also the case with other software as DVD srink.
Does anyone have a solution for this??? Firmware???

Try updating your firmware..

Also get the latest uptodate driver definaition from nero..

Did you install ASPI drivers?

Might sound silly BUT Does the version of Nero your using support's your hardware? If not you'll just have to download an update from www.nero.com
version. 5.5.10.24 upwards supports this drive Pioneer supported drives

1st check if ur nero supports ur burner,else go get the latest nero version...check if u have aspi installed...running which os?winxp?... flashing ur drive is the last thing 2 consider
