Pioneer 105 Burn error

Hi I have a Cendyne Pioneer DVR-105 latley when I go to burn a disc it says write failed at the end when nero tryes to close it. most of the time the disc will still work but sometimes not. I have also tryed Roxio EZCD 6 but have not made a single good disc with this bloated program has anyone else had this problem ? Please bear with me I am a Newbie just learning about DVD-R Burners.

Do you have the latest Nero version ?

Do you have the latest firmware for your pioneer ?

Have you tried another brand of blanks ?

Are you trying to overburn your disc ?
(i think it is a cdr and not a dvd ? )
