I had the same problem. Try going here http://www.prassieurope.com/ and getting the StorageGuard download and the PX Engine update. Your writer should then be recognised after the software gets updated.

Try the stomp record now max v4.10 or my opinion use disc juggler or nero i use dj for all my stuff xbox,ps2,psx and so on

would agree there, if u cant copy something using DiskJuggler or Nero then you probably aint gonna be able to copy it.
