I won't go as far as suggesting removing PCanywhere (although it may well be the cause of the crashes), just enter the PCanywhere configuration and disable ALL sound events associated to PCanywhere. Then check if you got rid of your problem. Or you may simply try to use different soundcard/mixer drivers, eg updated ones or virtual ones (say Total Recorder).
