anyone come across this problem yet?
I tried changing the cluster size on an 80GB drive (in a PIII with 256MB) using Partition Magic 7. OS (now) was Win98SE. Client computer, for the record. Not mine.
PM7 fist suggested converting to FAT32 4K Aligned, so I said 'sure'...reboot, so I said 'sure', then voila!
Partition info is royally fuxored, keyboard locks, nothing works.
I loaded up the DOS version of PM7 to check if I could undo what the POS PM7 thing did, and it essentially told me that I had an 80GB partition, some data on it, but no drive letter assigned.
All future attempts to get that partition info back were unsuccessful as well.
Backups? Nyet. The latest backup was (drum roll please) made in May 5, 2002. Let me say it again. Client's computer, not mine.
Any suggestions aside from drop-kicking the drive?
