Old soundcard and WIN XP

Hi! i have an not so old soundcard (midiman Dman PCI for musician) and the company won't release any drivers for win xp.

Is it possible to run win xp in "compatibility mode" and use win 98 drivers?

I don't want to change my soundcard 'cause it has very good analog to digital converters and it cost me $150us 2 years ago.

thanks

i dont think you can do that because windowsxp configures hardware on install . compatibility mode i think is for software not hardware or drivers. does it work now? or have you installed xp yet windowsxp`s driver may work fine when you do a CLEAN install not an upgrade just a thought. maybe a windows 2000 driver will work just ignore the bullshit driver signing

I didn't bother to try because they even didn't made drivers for win 2000. I will have to try by myself (thanks ghost) and see how windows will react.

thanks for the responses
