Now this is EAZY VCD

I have tried many different programs and ways to rip DVD to vcd ,but I think I have found by far the easiest way by using a program called EazyVcd. I have had a good hunt through the forum and haven't found anything about it unless someone tells me otherwise. I have found the quality to be very good and its very simple to use. EnJoY

Eazy Vcd uses the best software to make sure you end up with the highest quality VCD.
[vStrip, DVD2AVI, BeSweet, TMPGEnc and VCDImager]

All you have to do is;
1. Put the DVD you wish to copy in your DVD-ROM drive.
2. Select the output folder, name, and what type of CD-R you are useing, then click "RIP IT".
3. Burn the Bin/Cue image or Mpeg file to CD-R.

:D

Makesure you tell us how you get on if you try it. GOOD LUCK !!

just finished another dvd to vcd with this program. Got the program set to bin/cue file and burnt with cdrwin. Excellent results 100% audio and video with no loss of sycn. Its so simple to use.

Yep, it looks interesting, I'll give it a test run.

But DVD2SVCD does exactly the same now and it does Sub-titles, which EazyVCD does not. EazyVCD cannot handle AVI input either, only DVD's.

I think that this program is far more simple for novices and people how just want a one click dvd rip to vcd. But hey chicken man I have run through a few of your tutorials and yes this does near enough the same thing as them but in one hit without going through different programs (exc dvdtosvcd).

What about DVDx version 2.0 ?
I think is a good ripper - converter too, and is freeware!
And version 2.0 is optimized for Intel P4.
And for novices and people how just want a one click dvd rip to vcd is Movie Jack (but only in German lang.).
Rip, Convert, and Burn to cd (with languages and subtitles)!

DVDx is a poor substutute, quality of output is poor compared to others way, is to slow and to many a/v sync problems.

As Movie Jack is in German language only, then 90% of the world cant use it.

I have not tried Eazy VCD yet but it basically uses the same software to do the conversion of DVD to VCD as I have in one of my tutorilas, Eazy VCD is just a front end GUI for them all and making it automatic. I hope it works, as it appears to darn easy actually. :)

I agree with ChickenMan. DVD-X is just awful. Alot of settings that don't do crap and the video is just bad quality. I use dvd2avi to make a high and low motion video, then run them through makefilm. I convert the audio with ac3tool. Then run the video and audio through virtualdub and finally encode with TMPGEnc. It's alot to do but, I find that the video quality is better.

what is it with people wanting to bash DVDx ? chickenman since you have stated previously that you havent been able to run DVDx since version 1.7 how can you know what its like now ? as an example the sync problems in avis (which was caused by radium mp3 codec well known bug) is fixed (using nlame.dll for mp3). as for quality, ye the internal encoder isnt the best possible, then again it is a free program, compare that to the price of CCE. also the fact you can use the CCE plugin or frameserve to Tmpgenc means you can increase the output quality and reduce the time taken greatly.
obviously doing 3-4 pass with CCE (as in your tutorial) will give you the best results but i fail to see the need to bash free software (which is still being updated) over it.

I never test dvd2avi or dvd2svcd maybe is time to do this.
I rip - convert my dvd movies with DVDx as avi (DivX 5.02) but i change before the followings: Export settings: resolution 720x576 and on video codec settings : DivX Pro 5.02 codec with Encoding bitrate 1200 kbps.
The quality of the avi movie then is best(similar to DVD as i use the same resolution and a big bitrate), have no a/v sync problems, need about 3 hours to finish the job (with an P4 1700Mhz) and after that i can convert it to vcd or svcd or mpeg 2 (dvd) with Tmpeg if i need to do this!
Anyway if you all say that dvd2avi - svcd are better, then i have to believe this and give them a try.
thanks for the tip. :)

@Denexo, I'm not saying DVD2SVCD will produce a SVCD better than a DivX. A DivX made properly at a high bit rate will always be better than a SVCD. Also have a look at Vidomi to convert to DivX, its also free-ware.

@dragonz, I have version 2.0 running on my system now. Took 2-3 tries of installing and un-installing to get there but it is finally running. Again, I have not found any improvements in its quality of oputput compared to v 1.7 Its internal encoder is very poor and frameserving to TMPGenc will not give the same quality (S)VCD as using DVD2AVI to frameserve to TMPGenc IMHO. Using CCE with it puts it in exacty the same situation with DVD2SVCD, a free front end program with and expensive (or pirated) encoder. Whats the differenc? I have nothing against DVDx, a great relatively easy to use program for beginners with an average quality output, thats all. If you want to improve the final quality and keep it simple, look elsewhere.

eazyvcd

guys I just started using this program ..and to be honest it was very buggy with winme /win98se but I emailed the author ..and within 2 days he had a new version out and it is very very good..and easy to use as well .the author is very keen to help with any problem with this software ..anyway it may not be for everyone ..but for those who want a very good quality vcd and easy to use this is heaps better than dvdx...good luck to eazyvcd

Well I tried Eazy VCD last night and must say it's a great little proggie! :D

OK, the reults are not quite upto DVD2SVCD, but for anybody wanting to use a real easy prog without any real knowledge then it cannot be beat IMHO. Trying to think back, I'm sure that it was only "2 clicks" from start to finnish!!!

10 out of 10. ;)

Hey a friend of mine has copy and pasted all the lastest versions of the programs used in EazyVCD and says it all works fine. He has also email to guy who produced the program regarding this and a new version of EazyVCD is on its way stay tuned!!!.

One problem I see is the version of TMPGEnc included is the 30day demo version and will die in 30days. So yes I would suggest using your "already installed" copy of TMPGenc.
