Now that's a small Hard Drive

Yup every thing is going tiny MMC/SD/flash/stick cards for phones and cameras etc etc are reaching 1gb now too as the demand for minature storage increases by demand :)

USB 1.1 does not normally give (in real life conditions) a transfer speed bigger than 650-700 kb/sec, which is slower than some broadband connections. USB2 or IEE1394 would be another story, though...

1Mb/sec claimed - but that's still slower than writing a CD at 8x - or approacking 3 hour for a full 10Gb.

It scores though (other than in ROBUSTNESS) in capacity over the little pendrives.
USB 1.1 speed is practically useless over the 10Gb size, but if you consider it as the equivalent of 40 256Mb USB1 flash drives, the time for that quantity of data is less appalling!

if.... we are now talkin speeds a dvdr is 4.7gb burned at 4x takes approx 15-20 mins do the maths here people :)

now we are going off topic totally lol :)
