Archos ARCDisk.... 20 & 40 Gig Hard Drives that are smaller than 3.5 inch floppy.

Yup every thing is going tiny MMC/SD/flash/stick cards for phones and cameras etc etc are reaching 1gb now too as the demand for minature storage increases by demand

If size isn't an issue, the 120Gb standard size is the same price as the tiny 20 - and that's more capacity than my main hard drive!

And that 10Gb USB1.1 at 99 Euros is a bargain compared to larger sizes of USB flash drive - if you can accept USB 1 speeds - or don't even have USB2 (though an PCI card for USB 2 is pretty cheap thes days).

USB 1.1 does not normally give (in real life conditions) a transfer speed bigger than 650-700 kb/sec, which is slower than some broadband connections. USB2 or IEE1394 would be another story, though...

1Mb/sec claimed - but that's still slower than writing a CD at 8x - or approacking 3 hour for a full 10Gb.

It scores though (other than in ROBUSTNESS) in capacity over the little pendrives.
USB 1.1 speed is practically useless over the 10Gb size, but if you consider it as the equivalent of 40 256Mb USB1 flash drives, the time for that quantity of data is less appalling!
