no sound while DVD playback

I have a dell 4600 with a mad dog dvd dominator 6-in 1 dual 8x dvd+rw+r I just got the computer and the dvd , so i bought a move at wally world to see how it worked, Picture is great but i have no sound . I put a cd in and sound is good. I have done all i no to do including unstalling the drivers and reinstalling. Thats what dell told me to do. Still no sound im open for any help. Thanks I have a 80 gig hard drive and p4 ht 256 memory.

often you have to connect the DVD drive to your motherboard or soundcard with a special digital sound cable; then you should be able to hear the DVD's sound tracks;

It also depends on what software your using to playback the DVD. WMP does not play DVD's untill you install some other suitable player that has AC3 Audio decoder. I use WinDVD.
