No sound playing svcd

Need a bit help please :)

I just downloaded training day dvd rip - they say its svcd - but its just 3 x 700mb avi files.

Well i play them using divx 5 bundle, and the picture quality is very good - but i get no sound. Its strange to think that they released it without including sound track, so i assume theres suppose to be sound - but how would i go about sorting this out?

I never had this problem with other films (avi files) i previously downloaded. I checked volume, etc, the obvious things. Are there other progs u could suggest.

btw it looks great on stand anlone ;)

your movie might be also coded in XVid not divX. check it out m8.

@chicken man - cheers for that - though i already had those MPEG 4 codecs installed. Though nothing has changed even having reinstalled it.

@rumzeiss whats the difference between XVid and divX?

I read this in the nfo file

So does this mean - i wont hear anything because i dont have a proper 5.1 sound setup ?

no it doesn't mean that Shadey. Something else must be messed up with it.
If you like though I can make a DivX copy or VCD for you of the movie (I have the DVD), & upload to the ftp we share?
