no 24X burning in RecNowMax ?

I've been using ESJ RecordNow MAX v4.60.1 for a couple of months now and no coasters so far, only weirdiness is that it doesn't have 24X burning, even when it does recognizes my burner, which burns R-CD's at 8-16-24-32

the cuestion is if it is there a tweak or something cause sometimes I want 24X, nor 8, 16 nor 32 dammitt !!!

as said, this version already supports my burner, anyway I had try last pxupdate (408) with predictable no results in getting 24X

RecordNow support for new hardware is crappy since Veritas lost interest- I suggest filing a threatening complaint to Sonic, although it's highly unlikely that they will pay attention.

that is to bad, this was such a good product; worked fine all the time, and had just what was needed

anyway, I thought maybe someone would came out with a tweak or trick to add the 24x option

All you can do for now is hexediting the driver .dll files, and adding the missing burning speeds (no, the program does not inspect the .dll checksums). Obviously this needs a small degree of experience with a hex editor.
In fact, even a moderator at Sonic support forums has offered that tip!

well, thanks scrow, but If I knew how to do that I woudn't be asking this question. Or maybe this isn´t that difficult and someone here can tell us how to do something like that in this particular case, but I can hardly manage the decimal system, can't think about going hexadecimal, scares the sh*t out of me, I would need a step by step, fool proof tutorial
