New Smaller PS2 and Backed up games

Hi there,

I confess I am relatively new to this and have followed the tutorials for backing up my PS2 games with both alcohol 120 and DVD Decrypter. I recently purchased a new smaller PS2 partly because my old one was giving up the ghost and partly due to it playing DVD +/- Rs etc.

Anyway, getting to the point, does my new PS2 required modding before it will play backed up games? I am sure I read somewhere that they didn't.

Any help would be gratefull sppreciated!

Hey bud
as for modding your slim ps2 i would be careful. It has been confirmed..(not by Sony) but from other peeps and myself that modding a new slim ps2 causes the system to crash and there end up burning your laser. It's not all Ps2's but why take the chance. Good luck with your decision.
