New Harddisk, XP Pro, and Ghost

I know this kind of topic has been discussed previously but I can't find any solution for this particular problem....

Original Config:
Athlon PC with 10GB HD and WinXP Pro Corp.

What we did:
1. We got a new 40GB HD to replace the 10GB
2. Installed the 40GB as secondary master.
3. Ran a Norton Ghost 7.5 Corp boot disk
4. Ran Ghost and copied the existing HD to new HD, defined new partitions sizes also.
5. Removed the old HD and replaced the new one as Pri Master
6. Started the PC
7. Got an "Activation cannot be verified" message or something like that (cannot remember right now)..
8. Re installed onld HD and it is working, re isnatlled the new one and the error is still there..

What did I miss? or What should I have done?

This method worked precisely with Win2k, not with XP...

the error message is:
"A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the License for this computer. error code 0x8009006"

Give this a shot...I tried it on a friend's computer and it solved the problem.

hi! The moethod given by dxkim did not work because of the fact that XP wouldn;t let me log-in at all :( even in safe mode...

I found this page explaining what I did wrong and I did everything again and it worked :)

The main point to be made is to make sure that the original drive is not booted again after copying as it puts some marker on the cloned HD making it unusable...

thanks guys!
