nero wont burn a dvd-r

hi all i have a slight problem i fitted a dvd burner and have tride to burn a .bin file ps2 game onto a dvd,i usually put the games onto cdr but i use wap magic and cdr based games only work if under 750 mb,so i thought get a dvd burner and put bigger games onto dvd and use the dvd boot disc to boot them, when i try to burn the bin file nero tells me that the game can only be written onto a dvdrw something too do with packetwriting, not sur =e what this is.if anyone could help me it would b great,,,,sorry i wrote so much :)

Not quite as simple as that mate :(

A CD-Rom game, using commercial applications such as Nero, can only be backed up onto CD-R.

Believe me, I have tried this myself a few times :)

so what can u suggest i do,so a .bin file ps2 image will not burn onto a dvdr,im not sure what i can and canot say on this forum but u must know what i can use to get this onto dvd

A cue/bin image is most of the times based on a filesystem which is not an option for DVD media.
DVD-data or video supports UDF (several revisions), plain ISO9660 and UDF with Joliet extensions.
cue/bin can be 100% ISO9660 compliant (mode1/2048 bytes per sector, single data track, no video, audio or RAW tracks/datastreams allowed), but most of the times it isn't.

Most likely you will lose data. Just check the .cue file, and if you have more than one data track (or audio/video tracks) you may safely skip the conversion thingy- it will save you valuable time (and coasters).
