nero 5551 & XP

No matter what I try I can't burn data on XP. I've just reinstalled xp, dled the xp cd burner windows update and installed 5551 - I can burn audio but when I try data it hangs my box at 4% completed. I've tried messing about with ASPI but am reliably informed that nero has it's own and therefore I don't have to use forceASPI.

I'm at my wits end about this one, any advice, thoughts or even moral support would be appreciated.

pokopiko....I still willing to try if you can tell me where to get this 5569 nero. I not need the crack, only the real exe that not modified leaked from nero. You help? Please no cracked exe, virgin exe from ahead only. ???

also, you buy legal nero registeration and not use for burning? That make no sence to me....:)
