Need help with Nero Please

Im constantly having problems with Nero. Lately, I can't hardly burn anything because Im getting PowerCalibration failure error or couldn't perform fixation error. Sometime if I reboot it will work, but if I try to continue my multisession if fails. I used to have no problem with Nero but I had to upgraded to 5.5.X.X. I should of left it alone when it was working fine instead of upgrading to newest version that was out.

Anyway, right now I have 5.5.7.8 but it locks up constantly, if I reinstall 5.5.4 it will work only if I don't reboot. I thought it was my cdburner going bad (Imation 12x8x32 rebadged ACER) or the cdr was bad. But I can burn everything fine with CDRWin, Fireburner and CloneCD. I just tried out NTI CDMaker 2000 which isn't so bad. If I can't fix this couldn't perform fixation error from Nero and constantly spiting out coster, then Im just gona use NTI.

That sux cause Nero is the best cd program if it wasn't for constant lock up....

Well I put 5.5.7.8 of Nero and that solved the problem (seems to be the most stable version of Nero according to other). Well I have NTI Retail (came with my burner). Works fine except it takes longer to burn and it won't burn at the full speed. Other than that, it seems okay. And I still think Nero is overall best burner but that's just my preference from using other burner software.
If you like NTI and doesn't give you any problem, hey more power to you.
