Need help with 80 min cd's

I am trying to burn a 77 min cd on a 80 min cdr but it keeps giving a error sayin there is not enough room for it to burn. I am using easy cd creator 5 plat. I was wondering if there was something that I am doing wrong or what. Thanks in advance, Suiko.

First I would not use EasyCD creator, crap software

Try Nero or CD Mate and make sure that the overburn is active

In version 4, you clicked the estimate in the bottom bar to change from 74 to 80 based - but I'm not sure if it actually stoppred you burning it if it was wrong.

Verify that the media IS 80min - it could be mis-packed - a medium info should be available somewhere in ECDC.

Use Nero, is a very good all in one, but for music I like very much Feurio. And need one more for 1 to 1 copies (CloneCD, CDMate?), its'up the user and the recorder.

Now I'm serious, it will be a good idea to open a permanent toppic discussión about this 2 items, becouse it's changing every day new hardware (CD recorders) vs new burning soft. and new viruses vs new OS. This is why the people (me too) come back once and again to discuss the same point.

Thanks everyone, I finally got it to work I used Nero. It seems that what everyone says about ecdc really is true. Nero gave me no problems and the cd is burned perfectly. Thanks again, Suiko.

best advise sometimes is telling people to use other software (*and not telling people workarounds for their current software)!

Seen this happen far too often to know that when something just isn't as good as something else for something, to try and convince people to switch instead of continue with headaches.
