Cool!
Good software is worth to be supported.....you're happy because it worked, and the developer is happy because you bought it... :D ;)

And then you're unhappy, because you'll probably never need it again - recovery software is something seriously in need of a "pay per use" model - probably the only kind of software it would really be welcome on.

Hi Guy's..

Another Thing I've Been Confused On Is What Causes These To Come On Your HDD..
I Mean How Do These BAD SECTORS Accur..

What Harm Will It Give To The HDD

Bad sectors can occur for several reasons - disruption of power during a write, they say that excessively fast timings (eg. overclocking, when it raises the PCI and IDE timings).

Where they develop on the HD, they can be a worrying sign of fault or wearout.

A small cluster of them can be spot damage, but if a drive develops and continues to develop bad sectors (once you've ruled out traumatic origin, or a virus hiding), then it can be a sign that the drive is in the wearout phase.

It is not normal for IDE drives to have "some bad sectors", as the factory format spares out any original defects, so all IDE drives present as logically perfect to start with.

Some drives let you repeat this sparing out process, and it may be useful, or it may just be papering over the cracks.

You need to give that drive a scandisk with surface test occasionally, and if more bad sectors develop, back up and retire it, or at least relegate to noncritical use.

Cheer's For The Reply..

Now That You Mention Scandisk.. How Can I View The Surface Of The HDD.. For Bad Sector's..

The XP Scandisk Dont Show It Beside's Running The Check..

What's O&O Defrag Professional Program Like ?
