Multiproxy anonymous???

I've just installed Multiproxy, but after checking my anonymity on Multiproxy's site ( h!!p://www.multiproxy.org/multiproxy.htm ) my original IP address still appears.

I believe my browser (IE6) settings are correct, anyone have any ideas?

With multiproxy you have to use anonym proxies - servers, if you want to be anonym! You can add them manual.
Go to multiproxy and check your settings and the anonymous proxy list.

Thanks for the reply, I found the anonymous list OK - but none of the ones I tried no longer work!

Do you have a list of which ones do?

Hi there,

Thanks very much for the help. I was able to import the anonymous list from the website and filter out non working proxies.

I think the anonymous proxy idea is a bit pointless as I haven't been able to visit any of the sites I use everyday...(secure sites). Also, privacy.net was able to trace me back to Belfast easily enough and still found my IP!!

I'll maybe use it to abuse people in forums

Don't use the Multiproxy internal proxy anonimity checker, it's not reliable. Not all "anonymous" proxies really are.
