MPG plays not completely

I try to convert my old VHS tapes to DVD, untill now with reasonable succes.
However.......
Suddenly I found that on of my converted tapes into MPeg (done with PCTV card from pinnable) cannot be played completely by NERO.
What happens is that when I import the generated mpeg into nero, it only plays the first 5 seconds of the whole 85 minutes.
What went wrong?

NERO for encoding SUCKS try playing it back with mediaplayer or power dvd etc to test it


and convert to dvd using DVDLAB or TMPGENC etc rather than NERO
