minidv over digital 8 cam

digital 8 as its cheaper, picture quality is no different, however if you mean ini digital 8 then go for mini dvd but recording startup times are slower on the dvd and its harder to edit than capturing the d8 video and editing it on your pc prior to burning to svcd or dvdr (normal size as its far cheaper)

thnx for your reply. I returned my jvc minidv 320u and exchanged it with sony digi8. sony digi8 is a bit better than jvc mini dv 320u, picture quality wise in my opinion and the price is the same. i cap both units and i noticed that jvc's picture is a bit greenish while i didn't see that in sony. so i think i'll stick with digi8.

oops i thought you meant mini dvdr over digi 8 :D never even thought about mini dvhs, must admit i use the sony mini dv but its not as good as my old digi8 unit (however much smaller)
