Messenger Service popups

Hi all.

I keep getting these or similar messages popping up on my screen "see attatchment", I am using McAfee firewall and antivirus.
What and how are these messages getting through to me, more importantly how can I stop them.

I have used XP antispy and removed Windows Messenger, that should sort it.

Good move,might as well remove it if you don't use it.

don't mix up "Windows Messenger" and "M$ Messenger Service", this are totally different things;
"M$ Messenger Service" is the old NT "net send" command and should be disabled in MMC > Services;
