I have a problem, I'm using TMPGEnc 3.0 Xpress. I'm converting Avi to DVD.

My question is, how do you make the Subtitles be a selective? I don't mean encoding with the avi to dvd. I mean having it a selective so when you watch the movie in your dvd player you can selective the sub by turning it on and off.

How do you do this?

One more thing, I converted my movie into a 4.3 GB movie in TMPGEnc 3.0 xpress. When I try to burn it, it shows 8.0GB. What is the reason for this. do that mean that I have to convert my movie to 1.GB to fit it in a 4.7GB DVD+R to make it a high extension quailty. What should I do?

Thank you

For selectable subs forget about them when it comes to encoding as they need to be added during authoring.

To fit on a 4.3GB DVD your output should be 4.1GB's or so. This is to leave some room for the overhead that comes with authoring. That would depend on the number of titles, menus, etc. though.

actually the avi was ouput to 3.9 GB. so, when the converting was done it was 3.98 GB. So the problem was when I try to burn it it's saying that I can not set it to a high resoultio, it's stating that the high resolution is 8 GB. So it jump it from a 3.98GB to a 8GB. So, that mean that I have to put it in a low resolution, that will be the only one that will fit the 4.7 GB DVD+R.

I did try to put it in a low resolution but it turn out ulgy,
