Low Virtual Memory, No page file - Help!

The last 2 days, each time WinXPpro boots, i got a warning msg :

" Low Virtual Memory or no paga file at all...bla-bla..."

When i go to Device Manager->Advanced->Performance i see that the pagew file is 0 Mb ! . I set it like min=900 max 1800, reboot and i got the same warning msg ! Getting crazy...What"s going on? Seems like cannot set the virtual memory size...

Any ideas?

virtual memory

always set you`re vm to the same size for minimum & max about 1.5% of the actual memory installed as far as not being able to set it i dont know unless you have some kind of tweaking software that`s messing things up like tweakxp or someother useless shit tweak software they are all a joke dont use them.

i also checked the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management

The value for Pagingfile is c:\pagefile.sys 900 1800

Shit, When i reboot i got again the same msg.....:(

U haven't had any prog that might have set the pagefile 2 be cleared at boot time??

Or have U ran The BootVis Tool fro Microsh*te & ran that
Or XP AntiSpy???

Any More info would help Bud :)

I tend 2 stick with 98se as i find that after the SP's & Updates, it a damn quick, occasionalyy stable OS:):p

I run XPAntispy months ago. What"s wrong with that?
Nothing wrong, really. Just get sure you have administrator privileges when setting the pagefile size, and that you have enough drive space in your active partition.
You may also try to move your pagefile to another, less cluttered partition.

The erason i asked about XPAntiSpy is that newer version have had an option 2 clear the swapfile on every boot.If U have 2 drives then put the P/F on the fastest disk.If U only have 1 HD then U will have 2 leave P/F where it is

Try AntiSpy Again & see if the Clear Pagfile AT Boot is checked, if it is, then unchexk & reboot

& like scarcrow says U must have Admin Priv

Hope it Helps

finally find out the solution in Microsoft Knowledge Base:

"...Article - 315270

Error Message: Your System Has No Paging File, or the Paging File Is Too Small.

CAUSE
This error message may occur if Windows tries to create a paging file on an NTFS volume, but the System and Administrators accounts do not have the correct NTFS permissions on the volume...."

I did had admin rights, actually i was the only user :)
