The guys over at CDRInfo has posted modified firmware that allows you to convert a Lite-On LTR-40125S to a LTR-48125W and vice versa. These firmare have been modified to run right in Windows without rebooting.

Use at your own risk.

The Liteon forum at CDFreaks, hxxp://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=44, is an amazing source of information on Liteons. You can find all the info you need,including the firmware, about overclocking liteons.

I have a 40X thats been overclocked to 48X that I've had nothing but luck with. However there was no modification in the firmware, with certain models you can literally flash it with another models firmware.

Can someone upload the flash .bin file to OC the ltr 40125s to 48X ??? (40125s to the 48125w) It seems it was taken off the cdfreaks servers.
